LMS Integration Services
A course that looks great on your desktop can still fail inside an LMS. Scores vanish, completions never register, or the player opens to a blank window. I make sure your content runs and reports correctly on the platform your learners actually use, from large enterprise systems to WordPress plugins.
LMS Platforms I Work With
I have connected courses to many learning management and learning content management systems, including:
- Blackboard Learn
- D2L Brightspace
- Oracle (PeopleSoft) Enterprise Learning Management
- CourseMill
- Adobe Learning Manager, formerly Captivate Prime
- LearnDash, LearnPress, WP Courseware and WPLMS on WordPress
If your platform is not on the list, ask. Most systems follow the same standards, and I pick up new ones quickly.
Every platform has its own quirks, from how it handles bookmarking to how it reads a passing score. Knowing those quirks ahead of time saves hours of guesswork.
Fixing Tracking and Launch Problems
Many integration requests start with something broken. A course shows as incomplete after the learner finishes. A quiz score never reaches the gradebook. Bookmarking fails, so people restart from the beginning every time. I trace these problems through the SCORM, AICC, xAPI or cmi5 communication and fix them at the source. Sometimes that means republishing the course, sometimes adjusting LMS settings, and sometimes editing the package itself.
I also check the details that cause quiet failures: pop-up blockers, browser security settings, mixed content warnings and session timeouts on long courses. These problems rarely show up in a quick test, but they frustrate real learners every day. Finding them early saves your help desk a lot of tickets.
Setting Up Courses the Right Way
Integration also covers the setup work that keeps a catalog healthy. I can configure course settings, enrollment rules, completion criteria and certificates. I can write test plans so every new course is checked the same way before launch. For WordPress learning sites, I can set up the LMS plugin, connect it to your courses and confirm tracking works from the first lesson.
If you are moving to a new LMS, I can help with the migration too. That includes testing existing course packages on the new platform, fixing the ones that fail, and making sure historical completion records have a plan before the old system is turned off.
Using AI to Test and Troubleshoot
AI tools help me move faster on the detective work. They can scan long LMS debug logs and point to the call that failed, compare package manifests across course versions, and help write test scripts that check many courses in a row. I still verify every fix in the real LMS before calling a problem solved.
AI also helps with documentation. After a fix, I can quickly turn my notes into a clear write-up your team can use the next time a similar problem shows up, so the knowledge stays with your organization.
Common Questions
Our course works on its own but not in the LMS. Can you help?
Yes. That is one of the most common requests I get. Send me the course package and a description of the problem. I will test it, find where the communication breaks down, and fix the course or the settings.
Do you need admin access to our LMS?
It helps, but it is not always required. I can start in a matching sandbox or with SCORM test tools. For setup work, a test account with course creation rights is usually enough.
Can you help us choose an LMS?
Yes. I can share what I have seen work well, and not so well, on different platforms based on your audience, content types and reporting needs. You get practical advice, not a sales pitch, and the final decision stays with you.
