eLearning Team and Process Consulting
Good eLearning teams still get stuck. Reviews drag on, files go missing, and the same fixes show up on every project. I step into your team in whatever role helps most, look closely at how work moves from request to launch, and help you build a process that produces better courses in less time.
A Consultant Who Works Inside Your Team
Some clients want an outside reviewer. Others need a lead developer, an instructional designer or a project manager for a few months. I can fill any of those seats. I have spent more than 15 years in eLearning development, and I have led an eLearning team, so I know what each role needs from the others.
Working inside the team matters. I see the real handoffs, the real tools and the real deadlines instead of a slide deck version of them. That keeps my feedback specific and easy to act on.
I also listen to the people doing the work. Developers and designers usually know where the friction is, and they often have good ideas that never made it up the chain.
Process Review and Workflow Design
I start by mapping how a course moves through your shop, from the first request to the final LMS upload. Then we look for the places where time and quality slip away. Common trouble spots include:
- Storyboards that change after development starts
- Review cycles with no clear owner or deadline
- Templates that every developer uses a little differently
- QA that happens only at the end, when fixes cost the most
- LMS testing that surprises everyone on launch day
From there, I can run the team for a while, or we can co-design a new process together while I coach your people to take it over.
Bringing AI Into Your eLearning Workflow
AI tools can save an eLearning team real hours when they are used with care. I help teams pick the right spots for them and set simple rules so quality stays high. Good starting points include:
- Drafting first-pass scripts, objectives and quiz questions
- Checking builds for typos, broken links and missing alt text
- Producing AI voice narration for drafts or final audio
- Translating content for other languages
- Sorting learner data to find weak spots in a course
Every one of those uses keeps a person in charge. A subject matter expert still approves the content, and an experienced developer still tests the build. AI takes the repetitive work so your team can spend its time on design and quality.
What Changes After We Work Together
The goal is a team that runs well after I leave. You end up with a written process people actually follow, shared templates and checklists, and a clear owner for each step. New hires get up to speed faster, and project managers can predict schedules with more confidence.
I also leave behind the reasoning, not just the rules. Your team will understand why each step exists, so they can adjust the process as projects, tools and staff change. If you want a check-in later, I am happy to come back for a short review and help tune what is working.
Common Questions
Can you work with our team on a temporary basis?
Yes. Contract and temporary work is a big part of what I do. I can join for a single project, cover a gap while you hire, or help during a busy season, and I can step into whatever role helps your team most.
Do we have to use AI tools to work with you?
No. AI is optional. If your team wants to try it, I will help you choose tools and set review steps. If your organization has rules against it, we will improve your process with the tools you already use.
How does a consulting engagement start?
We begin with a free consultation about your team, your projects and what is slowing you down. From there I send a free estimate by email, either as a day rate or a lump-sum bid.
